Team UP!

About this board game

Team UP! is a cooperative packing game for 1–4 players, with a play time of about 30 minutes. Together, players stack boxes of different shapes onto a pallet, aiming to create the most compact arrangement possible.

On each turn, cards determine the type of box that must be stacked next. A card indicates either a box’s color or its shape, so the team must work with the available options while planning how the pallet will develop.

The game continues until there are no more boxes to stack, or until the players choose to stop. That decision can be important: continuing may help complete more rows, but it can also make it harder to place later boxes and increase the team’s penalties.

At the end, the team’s score reflects three parts of its packing effort:

• The number of full rows on the pallet
• The number of boxes left unstacked at the end
• The penalty points from cards drawn but unable to be played

The best possible score is 25, and a perfect solution exists. Finding it requires the players to coordinate their choices, build efficiently, and judge when the pallet is in its strongest condition. Every new card can affect the team’s plan, turning the shared puzzle into a compact challenge of spatial organization and risk management.
