About this board game

Ten Plagues is a family card game for 2–4 players that plays in about 35 minutes, inspired by the Biblical story of the Ten Plagues of Egypt.

Each player begins with a hand of ten cards depicting the plagues of Egypt as described in the Torah and Old Testament. Race to collect sets of cards and complete the goals displayed on the pyramids, earning pyramid points as you do.

On your turn, you draw a card from the deck and then discard a card to the tomb. You will then have an opportunity to complete a pyramid goal. Every completed goal reveals a plague event, with the events appearing in the same order as the ancient plagues.

  • Collect sets of plague cards to pursue pyramid goals.
  • Manage a changing hand as plague events affect every player.
  • Earn pyramid points by completing goals before the final plague is revealed.

As the plagues strike, each event changes the players’ hands, usually requiring specific cards to be discarded. Your objectives and available cards may shift quickly, so the sets you are building can become more difficult to complete as the game progresses.

The game ends after the last plague has been revealed. The player with the most pyramid points wins. With its changing objectives, set collection, and sequential plague events, Ten Plagues creates a race to adapt and complete pyramid goals before the story reaches its conclusion.
