About this board game

Terror Below is a board game for 1–5 players with a play time of about 60 minutes, set in a Nevada desert where government experiments have gone wild.

Players guide a squad of unlikely heroes through a small desert town, navigating difficult terrain while collecting valuable worm eggs. Deliver those eggs to locations around town to claim bounties and build toward the game’s main objective: becoming the first player to score 20 victory points.

Movement comes with a dangerous cost. The faster you move, the more vibrations you make, attracting the vicious worms underground. As the game progresses, the worms eventually attack, and anyone caught in their path of destruction must be ready for a fight.

• Collect worm eggs and deliver them to locations around town for victory points.
• Visit locations to find bounties and scavenge for weapons and other items.
• Choose whether to pursue egg deliveries or hunt down and kill the worms.
• Watch the worms’ movements and prepare for their attacks.

If you are feeling lucky, you can gather items and weapons and take the fight directly to the creatures beneath the desert. This alternative route gives Terror Below two distinct paths toward victory: deliver enough eggs to reach 20 points, or hunt the worms themselves.

With its blend of dangerous movement, resource gathering, bounty deliveries, and sudden threats from underground, Terror Below challenges players to balance opportunity against survival. Every trip across the town may help secure valuable points—or create the vibrations that bring the worms closer.
