The Batman Who Laughs Rising is a cooperative dice-rolling game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Inspired by the Dark Night Metal comic series, it challenges heroes to defend the multiverse from an invasion emerging from the Dark Multiverse.

A passage into the Dark Multiverse has opened in Gotham City, allowing dangerous evildoers to enter Prime. The Dark Knights and their sinister leader are ready to unleash chaos, while players work together to stop them before the darkness spreads.

Each game begins with one of four starting heroes: Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, or Batman. Players roll dice and coordinate their heroes’ abilities while recruiting allies who can help complete objectives or recover what has been lost to darkness.
