About this board game

The Battle for Hill 218 is a card-based tactical wargame for two players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Each player fights to control a hill by occupying bases on opposite sides of the battlefield.

Victory depends on more than simply advancing. Players must maintain supply lines while destroying enemy units and pushing forward toward the opposing home base. At the same time, your own base must remain secure, creating a constant struggle between attack and defense.

The game’s central challenges include:

  • Occupying bases on the opposite side of the hill
  • Maintaining supply lines as you advance
  • Destroying enemy units to open the way forward
  • Protecting your own base from capture

Air strikes add another important tactical option. They can support an assault or help defend your base, but each player has only two, so using them at the right moment is essential. Spending them too early may leave you without a powerful response when the battle reaches its decisive stage.

With its focused two-player format and card-driven tactical conflict, The Battle for Hill 218 presents a compact fight over position, supply, and timing. Released in 2007, it challenges both players to balance pressure on the enemy with the need to hold their own ground.
