The Convicted is a cooperative board game for 1–4 players, featuring a 20-turn campaign that takes approximately 900 minutes to complete. Players fight for survival in a hostile new land while expanding a town and defending it against continuous enemy assaults.

Each player takes the role of a convict given a second chance to atone for past crimes. To prove their devotion, they must colonize new territory in the name of the king. The campaign begins with a small headquarters, a handful of footmen, and only a few structures.

Over the course of the game, players can develop their settlement into an increasingly formidable fortress. They gather resources, build structures, improve fortifications, research new technologies, and train recruits in preparation for the attacks ahead.

• Cooperative play: Work together with up to three other players to protect the town.
• Settlement development: Expand buildings, fortifications, technologies, and military forces.
• Constant threats: Face barbarians, forest people, ferocious monsters, and wolf men with their beasts and war machines.
• Twenty-turn campaign: Endure a long-form struggle of roughly 15 hours, with turns lasting about 45 minutes each.

The new world’s indigenous inhabitants will use every means possible to drive out the colonists, sending countless hordes toward the town and its defenders. Players must stand their ground as attacks threaten the survival of their developing colony.

Random opponent selections and attack directions ensure that each campaign unfolds differently. With its combination of town expansion, research, resource gathering, recruitment, and fortress defense, The Convicted offers a substantial cooperative survival experience for players seeking an extended campaign.
