The Game: Extreme is a cooperative card game for 1–5 players, with a play time of about 30 minutes. Everyone works together to discard all the cards in the deck onto four discard piles.

Like The Game, this edition centers on a shared objective rather than competition between players. Success depends on collectively completing the game’s central task: clearing the entire deck across the four discard piles.

The defining feature of The Game: Extreme is its set of 28 instructions printed on the cards. These instructions affect the rules while the cards are in play, adding extra difficulty as the game progresses.
