The Grimm Forest

About this board game

The Grimm Forest is a strategic board game for 2–4 players that takes about 60 minutes to play. Competing family members of the Three Little Pigs must gather resources, outwit their rivals, and be the first to build three houses.

Players secretly choose movement cards to visit different locations, including fields, brickyards, and the dangerous Grimm Forest. During the Gather Phase, they attempt to collect wood, straw, and bricks while using deduction to anticipate the plans of the other builders.

After gathering resources, the game moves into the Building Phase. Resources can be used to construct houses made from wood, straw, or brick. Every time a player builds a wall section, a helpful Friend from the nearby forest offers assistance. That help can be accepted—or sent to another player when a different choice is more useful.

• Hidden movement: Secretly played cards make reading opponents’ intentions essential.
• Resource gathering: Collect wood, straw, and bricks from locations that may carry danger.
• Fable cards: Use 16 unique cards to support your plans or disrupt other builders.
• Friends and monsters: Twelve powerful Friend cards can aid construction, while lurking threats may interfere.

Fairy-tale figures such as Robin Hood, Snow White, the Golden Goose, and the Evil Queen may influence the competition, while the Big Bad Wolf can wreck carefully prepared plans. With clever timing, sharp deduction, and a little help from the forest, players race toward the title of Royal Builder.

In The Grimm Forest, every move can change the value of a location, a resource, or an ally. Gather wisely, avoid danger, and complete three houses before your opponents.
