About this board game

The Guardians: Explore is a card-drafting and deck-refinement adventure game for 2–5 players, with an approximately 90-minute play time. Across eight turns, players become heroes defending Arthursburg from monsters created when the town’s residents and wildlife are transformed by an unknown evil.

The game unfolds in two chapters: Warm Up and Battle. During the Warm Up, players draft cards to shape their strategies, secretly choose a unique super card that grants a special strength, and receive two unique missions that offer optional goals.

Once equipped with skills, equipment, and familiars, the Guardians enter the Battle. Players draw cards from the top of their decks and choose how to play them, building the power needed to defeat monsters and claim trophies throughout the game.

• Draft cards and refine your deck before the battle begins.
• Use equipment, skills, familiars, and a secret super card to strengthen your hero.
• Defeat monsters to acquire trophies and pursue optional missions.
• Discard unneeded cards and fortify powerful locations with blanket forts.

Although each player is competing to collect the most trophy points, the Guardians must also work together against the mighty boss at the heart of the invasion. Careful card play, strategic preparation, and effective use of each hero’s strengths are vital for the final showdown.

In The Guardians: Explore, a spring-break adventure becomes a battle to save loved ones, protect Arthursburg, and earn the title of True Guardian.
