About this expansion
The HellGame: Extra Evil is an expansion for 3–6 players that adds 55 new cards to The HellGame, most of them Arcana cards, for sessions lasting around 180 minutes.
This expansion gives Triumvirates new tools, hazards, and ways to disrupt the course of play. Among its additions are macinas: machines that grant permanent abilities much like Daemonic “special skills.” They require souls to work properly, and they can be stolen or explode without warning.
Extra Evil also introduces long passes to help players who are stuck with a trio of powerful Daemons. The Nonary Pass, for example, sends a Triumvirate nine slots down the rank track, offering a dramatic way to change position.
Permanent Hell Cards receive attention as well. Several new cards provide ways to remove troublesome effects, including angry angels and happy New Age followers, helping address some of the things that can bog the game down.
- Extra Evil: Hellevators, make-up kits, and the legendary Wine of Drunkenness.
- Extra Sin: the Sodomess, her brother the Gomorran, Hell on Heels, and the dangerous Spiky Virgin.
- Extra Destructive: nuclear devices, mechanical horses, and Celtic instruments of torture.
- Extra Unnatural: the power to turn people into toads.
With its combination of permanent abilities, rank-track movement, card removal, and flamboyantly infernal inventions, The HellGame: Extra Evil expands the original game with exactly what its title promises: extra evil.
