About this board game

The Hunger is a race for 2–6 players that plays in about 60 minutes, challenging vampires to hunt for victory points and return to the castle before sunrise.

Each player must optimize their card deck while moving a vampire across the map. During the game, speed is spent to travel, hunt humans worth victory points, and add new cards to the deck.

Hunting can make your vampire more successful, but it also creates a growing problem: the more you hunt, the slower both you and your deck become. As dawn approaches, getting back to the castle becomes harder and harder, turning every decision into part of a tense race against time.

• Move around the map by spending speed.
• Hunt humans to gain victory points and add cards to your deck.
• Fulfill secret missions while pursuing your objectives.
• Acquire a rose and return to the castle before sunrise.

The game ends at dawn. Only surviving players can claim the final victory, and the survivor with the most victory points on their cards wins.

In The Hunger, becoming the most notorious vampire means balancing ambition with survival. Hunt too little and you may miss valuable opportunities; hunt too much and the journey home may become impossible before daybreak. Released in 2021, this vampire race combines deck optimization, movement, hidden objectives, and a steadily tightening deadline.
