The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Decks: On the Doorstep is a 2014 set for 1–2 players, with a play time of 60 minutes. It brings three scenarios from the On the Doorstep saga expansion into the game’s challenging Nightmare Mode.

This single set contains three 20-card Nightmare Decks, with one deck dedicated to each of the three scenarios from On the Doorstep. Each deck provides new, alternate encounter cards and instructions for using them to reshape its scenario’s encounter deck.

Nightmare Decks let players revisit favorite scenarios in a harsher form. Familiar territory is transformed by deadlier enemies, darker locations, and more terrifying surprises, creating a nightmarish journey through scenarios players thought they knew.
