About this expansion

The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – The Drúadan Forest is a 1–2 player Adventure Pack for a 30-minute journey into the wilderness outside Minas Tirith. Released in 2013, it is the second Adventure Pack in the Against the Shadow cycle.

The dark shadow of Mordor has reached Gondor. After conspirators escape the city, Middle-earth’s greatest heroes pursue Sauron’s agents beyond the walls of Minas Tirith, only to discover that the greatest threat may not come from the foes they seek.

In the pack’s all-new scenario, the heroes encounter the Woses: reclusive hunters and archers who inhabit the wilds of Gondor. Their attacks add a dangerous complication as the encounter deck tests the players with the new Prowl mechanism.

  • An all-new scenario set in the wilderness outside Minas Tirith
  • The Woses, Gondor’s reclusive wild folk, as a central threat
  • The new Prowl mechanism, which challenges players through the encounter deck
  • Sixty cards: three copies each of twenty different cards

The Drúadan Forest expands the realm of Gondor while placing its heroes in a tense pursuit far from the city’s streets. Players must face the Woses and the scenario’s encounter challenges while uncovering what truly threatens them.

With its focused wilderness setting, distinctive new mechanism, and encounter with Middle-earth’s wild folk, The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – The Drúadan Forest offers a compact new challenge for one or two players.
