The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Deck: The Hills of Emyn Muil is a Nightmare Mode card set for 1–2 players, offering a challenging revisit of its matching quest in about 60 minutes.

Nightmare Decks let players return to favorite scenarios while facing deadlier enemies, darker locations, and more terrifying surprises. This deck reshapes a scenario players may already know, introducing new twists and turns to the journey.

The set includes 20 new encounter cards designed to be added to the matching original quest. It also provides the instructions needed to change the original setup and apply the additional rules of Nightmare Mode.

Rather than simply replaying the original encounter deck, players can use The Hills of Emyn Muil to experience a darker version of territory they thought they knew. The alternate encounter cards create a nightmarish journey filled with unexpected challenges.
