About this expansion

The Pursuit of Happiness: Community is an expansion for 1–5 players, with games lasting about 90 minutes. Released in 2017, it introduces the local community as a new part of your ongoing pursuit of happiness.

People around us influence who we become, while our own behavior can shape the lives of others. In this expansion, your community becomes a place to interact with people, take part in activities, experience new events, and become more popular—or slip into obscurity.

The expansion adds Community cards, a new card type that lets you engage with different community events and choose their outcomes. A new board provides a dedicated place for these cards and helps you keep track of your Popularity score as your standing in the community changes.

Community also expands the range of content available during play, giving you more ways to develop your life and pursue happiness. The additional material includes:

• Community cards featuring local community events
• A new board for Community cards and Popularity scoring
• More Projects, Items, Activities, Jobs, and Partners
• Additional Life Goals and Child Traits
• Enough material for a fifth player
