About this board game

The Shadow Over Westminster is a cooperative deck-building game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 60–90 minutes. Players become Agents racing across London to investigate strange disturbances and prevent an approaching end-of-the-world Cataclysm.

Explore the city and tackle challenges in whatever order your team chooses, but coordination is essential. While the Agents act, darkness creeps across London, and poor planning can leave the Cataclysm at its strongest.

A distinctive feature of the game is its use of varying card backs. Knowing which type of card is coming next gives the team more information for strategic planning, helping Agents make better-informed decisions together.

• Play as the media-savvy Shadow, noble Knight Templar, mysterious Watcher, or enigmatic Outsider.
• Research new abilities and discover ways to use mystic artifacts.
• Gather research, investigation, artifact, and talisman cards to face the final threat.
• Reveal a randomly chosen Cataclysm after completing enough research and investigation.

The Cataclysm remains unknown at the beginning of the game. Once the Agents uncover what terrible force is approaching, they must overcome its unique effect and drive the evil back out of this world.

With more than a dozen possible Cataclysms, every game presents a different threat lurking in London’s shadows. In The Shadow Over Westminster, the Agency must combine unique abilities, careful movement, and teamwork to save the city—and perhaps the world.
