The Siege of Runedar

About this board game

The Siege of Runedar is a cooperative game for 1–4 players, with a play time of approximately 90 minutes, in which dwarves defend a fortress and its treasure from an encircling army.

For generations, the mines of Runedar supplied gold to the dwarves. Now, a small group has discovered a new vein of exceptionally pure gold, but their plans to carry it to safety are interrupted when orcs surround the old fortress. To survive, the dwarves must protect their hard-earned treasure while preparing a way out.

Players face orcs, goblins, and trolls during the siege. Enemies who get past the walls must be fought in hand-to-hand combat, while those attempting to enter can be attacked from a distance. Every turn brings the challenge of holding the fortress against the raiders.

• Cooperative play: Work together as dwarves against the forces surrounding Runedar.
• Deck-building: Upgrade weapons and tools to improve your ability to withstand the siege.
• Two-part objective: Defend the walls and treasure while building a tunnel beneath the mountain.

The tunnel is the key to escape, but digging takes time that the dwarves must win through determined defense. Coordinate your efforts, improve your equipment, and hold off the attackers long enough to get the gold to safety.

With its combination of fortress defense, varied enemies, close- and long-range combat, and deck-building upgrades, The Siege of Runedar challenges a group of dwarves to endure a desperate siege and complete their escape.
