About this board game

Thief’s Market is a dice-rolling and loot-splitting game for 3–5 players, with plays lasting around 60 minutes. After an epic heist, everyone must decide how to divide the treasure—and how far they are willing to go to get the best share.

Each round, roll the custom-engraved dice to determine the available loot. You can take as much as you want from the middle, or steal another player’s pile and return one item to the middle. Every choice can improve your haul while changing what remains for everyone else.

Gems and gold give you the means to expand your operation. Use them to hire master thieves and purchase magical items that manipulate future die rolls. As you acquire cards, you can build a unique engine designed to help you gather points and pursue your own path to infamy.

The updated edition of Thief’s Market features streamlined, improved iconography and a larger, more diverse market of cards, combining new and returning abilities. Players also have a 2-gold limit, adding a clear restriction to resource management.

The game ends once a player purchases their third Relic card. When the final decisions are made, the player with the most points becomes the most infamous mastermind. Whether you focus on careful collection, calculated theft, or clever card combinations, every round asks how much loot you can claim before someone takes it from you.
