Threads of Fate is a narrative puzzle adventure for 1–4 players, combining escape rooms, board games, and interactive fiction across four episodes. With a listed play time of 800 minutes, it offers an extensive mystery for solo players or groups working together.

You take on the role of a private investigator assigned to find two professors missing from the Emerens Institute. As the investigation develops, information about a mysterious relic discovered by an archaeological team presents an opportunity to change the course of destiny.

The story unfolds through a collection of unusual clues and materials, including:

• Letters and articles to examine
• Drawings and websites to explore
• Strange artifacts connected to the investigation
• Mysterious glyphs whose meanings emerge throughout the story

Across the four chapters, players solve puzzles of varying difficulty while exploring supernatural forces drawn from Norse mythology. Each chapter takes approximately 2–3 hours to solve, for a stated total of 8–12 hours of gameplay.

As evidence accumulates, the investigation becomes a journey into the secrets of fate and time. Threads of Fate is a remastered version of PostCurious’ acclaimed debut game, The Tale of Ord, presenting its mystery through an immersive blend of story, deduction, and puzzle solving.
