About this board game

Throne of Allegoria is a board game for 2–4 players, with an approximate play time of 120 minutes. Set in a realm without a natural-born heir, it places players in the roles of Lords and Ladies competing to become the next monarch.

Queen Gwendoline lies on her deathbed, but no one knows exactly how long she has left to live. As the succession hangs in the balance, four powerful houses support champions of their own renown in a struggle defined by reputation, influence, secrecy, and supremacy.

  • Roselie, the House of Roses
  • Culver-Lux, the House of Feathers
  • Antares, the House of Storms
  • Umbral, the House of Shadows

Across six weeks, players must make the best use of the local workforce, stake their claims, and win decisive battles. Every effort contributes to the contest for influence while power remains fleeting and the future of Allegoria stays uncertain.

The player who has acquired the most influence by the end of the sixth week is proclaimed the next monarch. With four houses and rival claimants vying for the same throne, Throne of Allegoria presents a focused tale of political ambition and competition in a kingdom on a sword’s edge.

Released in 2019, this board game is built around a complete six-week struggle for succession. Players compete not only to prove their own worthiness, but also to navigate the support of Allegoria’s most powerful houses before the queen’s reign comes to an end.
