About this board game
Ticket to Ride: London is a 15-minute route-building board game for 2–4 players, set on a scaled-down map of 1970s London.
It features the familiar Ticket to Ride formula: collect transportation cards, claim routes, and draw destination tickets. Each player begins with 17 double-decker buses, two transportation cards, and one or two destination tickets showing locations in London.
On your turn, choose one of three options:
- Draw two transportation cards from the deck or the five-card face-up display, or take one face-up bus card that counts as all six colors.
- Claim a route by discarding cards matching its color. Any set of cards can be used to claim a gray route.
- Draw two destination tickets and keep at least one.
Destination tickets reward you for connecting their two locations with a continuous line of buses, but uncompleted tickets cost points at the end. You can also score by linking every location in a district to the others with your buses. Districts contain two to four locations and award 1–5 points when fully connected.
The game enters its final round when a player has no more than two buses remaining. Every player, including the player who triggered the ending, takes one last turn before scoring. Players total their claimed-route points, completed destination tickets, and connected districts, then subtract points for unfinished tickets.
With its focused map and short playing time, Ticket to Ride: London offers a streamlined way to experience the series’ core route-claiming gameplay.
