About this expansion
Tide of Iron: Days of the Fox is a two- to four-player expansion for Tide of Iron, featuring 240-minute battles set during the North African campaigns of World War II.
Across the deserts and mountains of North Africa, British and German armies clash in one of the greatest conflicts in human history. The expansion introduces the British army and brings the Mediterranean theater to the Tide of Iron system.
At the center of the story is Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, whose brilliant offensive against Commonwealth forces exceeded his orders and earned him the nickname “The Desert Fox.” Days of the Fox presents this setting through new content for Tide of Iron.
- The British army
- North African campaign scenarios
- New terrain tiles
- New rules
- New units
- Nine new geomorphic, double-sided map boards
The new map boards expand the battlefield with flexible layouts for the North African setting, while the additional terrain, units, rules, and scenarios provide fresh ways to experience the conflict. The double-sided boards offer two faces each, adding variety to the available battlefields.
As the first expansion for Tide of Iron, Days of the Fox extends the original game with a new army and a distinct historical theater. Players can recreate the struggle between Commonwealth and German forces across a landscape of deserts and mountains.
Designed for two to four players, Tide of Iron: Days of the Fox is a substantial expansion for groups seeking lengthy World War II battles and new North African content. Its combination of historical setting, additional components, and new scenarios makes the expansion a notable addition to the Tide of Iron series.
