About this board game

Tiere toppen! is a trick-taking card game for 2–5 players, ages 8 and up, with a playing time of about 40 minutes. Released in 2023, it invites players to explore the diverse animal kingdom through great photographs and surprising facts.

The game features information about 175 animals from all over the world. During play, animals are constantly compared across four categories: size, weight, age, and speed. These measurements and characteristics create quick comparisons that can produce unexpected results.

Both the highest and the lowest value can be advantageous, so a smaller animal may triumph over a much larger one. An ant, for example, can win a category against a cat, making every comparison more surprising than it first appears.

There is another twist to watch for: some predators can reshuffle the cards within a trick. This can change the comparison again and keep the outcome uncertain until the trick is resolved.
