Timeless Journeys: The Italian Grand Tour

About this board game

Timeless Journeys: The Italian Grand Tour is a strategy board game for 1–5 players, with an approximately 120-minute playing time, set during the 18th and 19th centuries.

Step into the shoes of Europe’s first true tourists and cross Italy in search of art, history, and inspiration. Travel from Turin to Palermo, explore celebrated cities, debate in cafés, meet locals, and record discoveries in your Travel Journals.

The game combines deck building, card chaining, set collection, and route planning. Travel, Friendship, and Inspiration cards help you journey across Italy, gather ideas, and turn fleeting impressions into lasting achievements and Victory Points.

• Plan routes through destinations including Venice, Florence, Rome, and Naples.
• Chain cards of the same type to reactivate earlier actions.
• Use the shared market of Advanced Action cards to expand your strategy.
• Build your Travel journal by committing discoveries to journal entries.

Each decision contributes to your Grand Tour as you balance movement, connections, ideas, and journal progress. The card system rewards thoughtful sequences, while route planning determines how you explore Italy and develop your journey.

Timeless Journeys: The Italian Grand Tour is played over five rounds. After the Famous Travelers phase and the Market phase of the fifth round are completed, the game ends. The player with the most Victory Points wins.
