Timeline: General Interest

About this board game

Timeline: General Interest is a chronological card game for 2–8 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Using 110 cards, players race to place historical events in the correct order and be the first to get rid of every card in hand.

Each card depicts an event on both sides, but shows its year on only one side. On your turn, choose a card from your hand and place it into the timeline on the table, positioning it among the cards already played. Reveal the date to check whether the event fits the sequence.

If the card is correctly placed in chronological order, it remains in the timeline. If not, it is removed from play, and you take another card from the deck. The changing row of events makes every placement a test of memory, deduction, and historical knowledge.

The first player to place all their cards correctly wins. If several players go out in the same round, everyone else is eliminated and those players receive one more card for a bonus round; play continues until a single player is left.

Timeline: General Interest can be combined with other titles in the Timeline series, except Timeline: Star Wars. It integrates with Timeline: Science & Discoveries, Timeline: Events, Timeline: Inventions, Timeline: Music & Cinema, Timeline: American History, and Timeline: Americana.
