About this board game

Timeline: Inventions is a 15-minute card game for 2-8 players, featuring 55 cards about inventions and the years they were created.

Each card depicts an invention on both sides, but its year appears on only one side. Players take turns choosing a card from their hand and placing it into a row on the table, aiming to keep all the cards in chronological order.

After placing a card, the player reveals its date. If the invention is positioned correctly in relation to every other card in the row, it remains in play. If not, the card is removed, and the player takes another card from the deck.

The goal is to be the first player to get rid of all the cards in your hand by placing them correctly. When multiple players go out during the same round, everyone else is eliminated from play, and each of those players receives one more card for a bonus round.

If only one player has no cards after that bonus round, that player wins. Otherwise, play continues until a single player goes out. This creates a clear race around a shared timeline, with each placement tested immediately by revealing the hidden date.
