About this board game

Timeline Twist is a cooperative card game for 2–6 players, with play lasting around 30 minutes. Released in 2023, it offers a new version of Timeline in which players work together rather than compete.

The team’s shared goal is to get rid of all the cards in players’ hands. To do that, everyone must communicate and coordinate their decisions, choosing the best way to use the 36 cards in the game.

Players can aim to place as many events as possible in the correct order on the timelines. Each placement contributes to the group’s effort to clear its hands, making cooperation and careful discussion central to the experience.

Cards can also be discarded wisely. This gives the team another way to manage its cards while working toward the same objective. The challenge comes from deciding when to build the timelines and when discarding is the better choice.
