About this board game

Tiny Epic Western is a poker-infused worker-placement game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes. Set in a rapidly growing Wild West boomtown, it challenges you to build influence through Law, Money, and Force while competing to become the most powerful tycoon.

Each round, poker cards are dealt between locations arranged in a circle. Players place their posse members on these location cards, gaining access to actions while also bidding for the valuable resources associated with each location. Your own poker card combines with the two adjacent cards at a location to create a three-card poker hand, making every placement both a strategic action and a calculated gamble.

Success depends on managing your relationships with the town’s most powerful bosses and judging when to commit your influence. Clever play can help you claim buildings in the expanding boomtowns, unlocking powerful abilities that shape your path to victory. You must also manage your supplies of Law, Money, and Force to purchase buildings and take part in gunfights.

  • Poker hands and worker placement work together in a distinctive central system.
  • Posse placement provides actions while serving as a bid for location resources.
  • Buildings offer powerful abilities and contribute to your final score.
  • Industry stakes can provide bonus points at the end of the game.

At the end of the game, the player with the highest stake in the most lucrative industry earns bonus points. Add those points to the points gained from purchased buildings, and the player with the strongest combination of wit, bluff, and frontier influence wins. Originally released in 2016, Tiny Epic Western delivers a compact contest of strategy and poker-minded risk-taking.
