Toko Island

About this board game

Toko Island is a cooperative treasure-hunting game for 1–4 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Sail with your friends toward a mysterious island and search for valuable relics requested by researchers and scientists.

Each game uses a mission and a chosen difficulty level, with 10 corresponding Treasure cards guiding your expedition. Treasure tokens are placed face down across three levels of the island, while Tool tokens begin on the Ship at the centre of the table.

On your turn, discuss your plans with the other players, then choose an available Tool from the Ship. Tools correspond to different parts of the island—the beach, jungle, or volcano—and the numbers beside locations on the Ship determine how many times you may perform the action.

Next, flip an accessible Treasure token of your choice. You may continue searching from the same hole or select a different space. After flipping one, two, or three tokens, return any uncollected tokens face down to their spaces and discard the Tool.

• Reveal a new Treasure card whenever you find the matching token.
• Coordinate your choices in a shared search for all 10 treasures.
• Choose from four mission types and three difficulty levels.

Your team wins Toko Island by collecting all 10 Treasure cards, after which you can calculate your score. If the Ship has no Tools left while Treasure cards remain, the expedition ends unsuccessfully—though you can always try again.
