Too Many Poops

About this board game

Too Many Poops is a cat collection game for 2–6 players that plays in about 30 minutes. Race to become the first player to score 10 points of cats in your home, while managing the mess that comes with every feline addition.

Players adopt cats from the pet store and compete to build a valuable collection. Use lures to attract the cats that will score you the most, then work toward the 10-point goal before your opponents can get there first.

There is one important complication: the more cats you have, the more poops you’ll get. Collect too many, and you lose the game. This creates a constant balance between growing your cat collection and avoiding the consequences of taking on too many cats.

• Collect cats and aim for 10 points in your home.
• Adopt cats from the pet store.
• Use lures to seek out high-scoring cats.
• Donate rival cats to other players.
• Watch your poop total, or risk losing the game.

With room for 2–6 players, Too Many Poops brings direct competition to its lighthearted cat-collecting premise. Players can influence rival collections by donating cats to other players, making each move part of the race for points and the struggle to avoid an overwhelming mess.

Designed and developed by Aaron Burghard and Miguel Martinez, Too Many Poops was released in 2018. It won the Logan Playtest Party Best Tabletop Game Award in 2018.
