Tour Operator is a 2018 board game for 2–4 players, with play lasting about 90 minutes. You manage a well-known travel agency and compete to make your clients the happiest travelers.
Your tourists have very different wishes and demands. Some seek culture or nature, while others want parties or shopping. They also vary in patience, travel class, accommodation preferences, and the number of weeks they want to stay.
- Match tourists with destinations suited to their interests.
- Meet demands for business-class travel, VIP rooms, or dormitory sleeping arrangements.
- Keep beds and planes clean, and make sure the planes have enough fuel.
- Hire employees who can calm impatient guests and support your company.
Every city on the board can be scored only once, so timing and attention to your rivals matter. A city you planned to profit from may be claimed by another travel agency before you can score it.
Throughout Tour Operator, balance the needs of your clients with the opportunities available on the board. The winner is the player who manages to make their travelers the happiest, turning careful travel management into a successful agency.
