About this board game
Trader is a 15-minute economic strategy game for 2–4 players, released in 2009, in which players invest across different economic categories to earn as much money as possible.
The central challenge is knowing when to buy and when to resell. Players aim to acquire categories at low prices, then sell them in pairs from the same category to multiply their profits. Careful decisions can turn investments into significant returns.
Profit is not the only consideration. While pursuing your own financial plans, you must also look for opportunities to upset your opponents’ strategies. Interacting with rival plans adds a competitive edge to the straightforward goal of making money.
- Invest in different economic categories.
- Buy at low prices.
- Resell matching pairs within the same category.
- Disrupt opponents’ profit plans.
With its short play time, Trader offers a focused contest of investment and timing. Every action contributes to the race for the maximum amount of money, making the balance between building your own profits and interfering with others central to the experience.
Trader re-implements Ka-Ching!, bringing this economic investment concept to a compact game for two to four players. Whether you concentrate on profitable category pairs or try to interfere with another player’s plans, success depends on turning low-price purchases into well-timed gains.
