About this board game

Treasure Island is a 2018 bluffing and adventure game for 2–5 players, played in about 45 minutes. One player takes the role of Long John Silver, while the others search an island for his treasure.

Long John’s crew has mutinied, leaving him cornered and tied up. Round after round, the crew questions him about the treasure’s location and explores the island by following his directions—or the misdirections he may use to lead them astray.

• Bluffing: Long John tries to mislead the other players during their search.
• Adventure: The crew explores the island while pursuing clues about the treasure’s location.
• A dramatic finale: Long John’s escape begins a final attempt to reach the booty himself.

The hunt builds throughout the game as the crew weighs Long John’s answers and investigates the island. His cooperation cannot be taken for granted: the old sea dog is planning an escape and may be shaping every exchange to improve his own chances.

When Long John finally escapes, the search reaches its climax. He makes a final run to recover the treasure, turning the end of Treasure Island into a direct race between the mutinous crew and the pirate they have been questioning.

With its central one-against-the-others setup, Treasure Island combines deception, exploration, and a tense final pursuit. Every round advances the search while keeping Long John’s true intentions in doubt.
