Trench

About this board game

Trench is an abstract strategy game for two players, with a playing time of approximately 45 minutes. Set during the trench wars of World War I, it unfolds on a distinctive diamond-shaped 8×8 grid.

Each player sets up an army on opposing sides of the trench, which divides the board into two territories. As the conflict develops, both armies struggle to seize control of this central position and exploit its strategic potential.

Every piece, from the Soldier to the General, is governed by specific maneuvers. Success depends on coordinating the army as a whole: pieces must work together to occupy the trench, cross into enemy territory, breach opposing defenses, and capture the foe’s most valuable and important pieces.
