Trial by Trolley: Derailed Edition is a game for 3–13 players that plays in about 15 minutes. One player becomes the Trolley Operator, while everyone else argues for survival as an out-of-control trolley approaches two possible tracks.

The Operator must choose where to send the murderous trolley. The players on the other side of the table use cards and discussion to influence that decision, presenting their arguments in the hope that their track will be spared.

Every round creates a direct and dramatic choice: convince the Operator to save the people on your track, or condemn everyone on the other track to a gruesome death-by-trolley. The focus is on the arguments players make and the decision the Operator ultimately takes.

The Derailed Edition combines the base game with the Derailed promo pack. Together, they provide the complete version described here, while preserving the central premise of choosing which track the trolley will follow.
