Triangoli

About this board game

Triangoli is a two-player majority-control board game from 2017 that plays in about 30 minutes. Its playing surface is made entirely of triangular spaces, with every four triangles forming an area.

Each player has one game figure and 18 markers. On a turn, a figure moves along the lines of the board and lands on an unoccupied intersection. The number of steps you make matters immediately: afterward, you may place exactly that many markers in one adjacent triangle.

The placement is only part of the struggle. Afterward, you may exchange opposing markers for your own, changing control across the board and rapidly reshaping the majorities within the areas. A position that looks secure can shift quickly as players contest individual triangles.

In Triangoli, the final result is determined by the majority of markers in each area. Because ownership keeps changing, it is difficult to know who is winning until shortly before the game ends.

Every move combines positioning with a decision about where to commit markers and when to alter the balance of power. Fight for each triangle, watch the surrounding areas, and aim to hold the majorities that matter when the conclusion arrives.
