About this board game
Tumblin-Dice Medium is a dexterity dice game for 2–6 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Players slide, roll, or flick colored dice down a stepped surface, aiming to place them in scoring areas and build the highest total.
Each player has four dice to send down the board. Sliding is usually the preferred approach for better accuracy, but every attempt requires control and a good sense of placement. Once all players have made their moves, the dice are scored according to both their rolled values and the areas where they finish.
- Send dice down a stepped playing surface by sliding, rolling, or flicking them.
- Score each die’s rolled value multiplied by its zone: 1×, 2×, 3×, or 4×.
- Dice that land in the 0× region are immediately removed from play.
- High-scoring rolls become tempting targets for opponents.
The multiplier zones create a balance between precision and ambition. A die in a higher-value area can produce a much larger score, but successful high-scoring rolls also give opponents something to aim for. Players must therefore consider not only where to place their own dice, but also which opposing dice might be worth challenging.
The game is played over four rounds, with scoring taking place after everyone has slid their four dice. After the final round, the player with the most points wins. Its simple turn structure and physical dice action make each shot immediately easy to understand while leaving room for careful aiming.
Tumblin-Dice Medium sits between the original, largest version of Tumblin-Dice and Tumblin-Dice Jr., the travel version. It offers the same core challenge of controlled dice placement in a smaller format than the original game.
