About this board game

Twin Tin Bots is a robot-programming board game for 2–6 players that plays in about 50 minutes. Each player controls two robots competing to harvest crystals from a shared game board and bring them back to their base.

Crystal mining has become a major source of energy, attracting many corporations and teams to the same harvesting plant. Everyone is working toward the same goal: returning more valuable crystals than the other players.

The central challenge is that your robots do not simply respond to each new instruction. They repeat their programming, while changes to that program from turn to turn are limited. Planning ahead is essential, but a carefully prepared strategy can still be affected by what happens around the board.

  • Program and control two robots per player.
  • Harvest crystals from the game board.
  • Transport the crystals back to your base.
  • Adapt when robots interact and plans change unexpectedly.

Robot interactions make every plan more uncertain. A rival bot can approach, interfere with your intentions, or turn a carefully timed route into a very different result. The game’s programming system rewards players who can anticipate repeated actions while remaining flexible when circumstances shift.

In Twin Tin Bots, success comes from balancing long-term programming with the changing situation on the board. The player who harvests the most valuable crystals wins, making every route, command, and encounter matter.
