About this board game

Two by Two is a 2010 board game for 2–4 players, with a play time of about 45 minutes. As the floodwaters rise, players move their boats across a steadily deteriorating landscape to rescue stranded animals and help them board the ark.

The central challenge is deceptively simple: find and match pairs of animals while navigating a world threatened by the rising water. Every rescue contributes to the game’s final scoring, but not all animals are equally valuable.

At the end of the game, animals that are rare are worth more points than animals that are common. This gives players a reason to pay attention to which animals are being collected and how their final sets may compare with those of the other players.
