About this board game

Ugly Christmas Sweaters is a 2020 board game for 2–4 players that takes about 45 minutes to play. Players compete through trick-taking and drafting to collect and assemble sweater pieces.

At the start of each round, gameplay cards are drawn to determine how that round works and how bonus scoring is handled. These cards shape the goals players must pursue while they work to build their sweaters quickly.

The round ends when one player completes three sweater builds. Victory points are then awarded based on the sweaters built during the round, along with additional bonus scoring.

Ugly Christmas Sweaters is played over three rounds. At the end of the third round, all scores from the previous rounds are tallied, and the player with the highest total score wins.
