About this board game

Um, Actually… is a party game for 3–8 players that takes about 25 minutes to play. It challenges you to spot mistakes hidden inside statements about the fictional worlds of popular movies, TV shows, and books.

Every statement sounds right at first, but one detail is wrong. When you know the answer, jump in before anyone else with the magic phrase “Um, actually…” and explain what needs correcting. Even unfamiliar topics can lead to wild guesses, surprising answers, and plenty of laughs.

Build your deck before playing to shape the experience around the fandoms that interest your group. Choose from categories including:

Each game contains 12 rounds: nine regular questions, two shiny questions, and one real-life skills question. Regular questions invite players to butt in whenever they know the answer, while the shiny and real-life skills questions use the included whiteboards and markers.

Discussion prompts on the cards encourage witty banter, hilarious conversations, and enthusiastic nerding-out over favorite fictional worlds. The result is a flexible party game that combines quick reactions, playful debate, and opportunities to show off—or discover—your fandom knowledge.
