Valley of the Kings: Last Rites is a standalone Egyptian-themed board game for 1–4 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes.

Take on the role of an Egyptian noble preparing for death and burial in the Valley of the Kings. Your goal is to fill your tomb with valuable food, amulets, artifacts, and other treasures before the game ends.

To gather these riches, acquire cards arranged in the shape of a pyramid. Cards at the base can be purchased, and removing them causes the pyramid to crumble, bringing cards from higher levels down to the base. At the beginning of each round, the pyramid resets with new offerings.

• Acquire cards from a changing pyramid market.
• Use valuable cards for their effects during the game.
• Remove cards from your deck and stash them in your tomb to score.

The central challenge is deciding when to use a powerful card and when to entomb it. Cards score only after you remove them from your deck and place them in your tomb, so keeping useful treasures in play for too long could mean missing out on important points.

As the third standalone title in the series, Valley of the Kings: Last Rites introduces the various citizens and roles of the ancient Egyptian kingdom. When the final scoring arrives, the player with the most valuable collection of entombed artifacts wins.
