About this board game
Venn is a team-based guessing game for 2–99 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Your goal is to help your teammates guess a secret three-number code before the challenge is complete.
At the start of the game, twelve word cards are laid out at random. The cluegivers see a code made up of three numbers from 1–12, identifying the words their teammates need to find.
Three large plastic circular overlays—yellow, blue, and pink—are placed on the table. Their overlapping areas create a large Venn diagram with a variety of sections for giving visual clues.
- Twelve randomly arranged word cards
- Three overlapping circular overlays in yellow, blue, and pink
- Hand cards featuring absurdist imagery
- A secret code containing three numbers from 1–12
Each cluegiver has a hand of cards showing unusual, absurdist images. Taking turns, the cluegivers place these cards into different sections of the Venn diagram, using the relationships between the circles and the imagery to communicate clues.
The challenge is to interpret those placements and connect them to the numbered word cards. In Venn, the table becomes a shared visual puzzle where every card position can help point teammates toward the words indicated by the code.
With its large shared diagram, colorful overlays, and imaginative clue cards, Venn creates a distinctive way to communicate without simply stating the answers. The result is a focused guessing experience built around secret information, visual associations, and carefully chosen placements.
