About this board game

Viagem no Tempo is a tactical board game for 3–5 players, with an average play time of 60 minutes, in which teams of scientists travel through different periods of human history to collect valuable scientific evidence.

On each turn, players choose one of three travel devices: the Ship, the Clock, or the Time Machine. Each device provides a different way to move around the board, creating tactical choices as players plan their routes and decide when to leave each historical period.

Scientific evidence is awarded whenever a player is the last to leave a time period, making timing and positioning essential. During their travels, scientists may also encounter one of the game’s 25 Historical Figures, including Albert Einstein and Cleopatra. These encounters can provide advantages—or introduce new dangers.

  • Travel through multiple periods of human history.
  • Choose between three devices with different movement options.
  • Collect scientific evidence worth victory points.
  • Encounter 25 Historical Figures with helpful or hazardous effects.
  • Use special action cards to interfere with opponents.

Interaction is central to the experience. Special action cards allow players to undermine their opponents by sending scientists into the Time Tunnel, where they can become trapped. A countdown mechanism determines when the tunnel closes, so imprisoned scientists must be freed in time or be sent to the Galaxy’s Black Hole forever.

Released in 2013, Viagem no Tempo is an adventure of shifting plans, dangerous encounters, and direct player interaction. Its blend of tactical movement, historical characters, evidence collection, sabotage, and countdown pressure creates a tense race through time.
