About this expansion

Victory: The Blocks of War – Extra Maps is a map expansion for 2–6 players, with a listed play time of 180 minutes. Released in 1998, it expands Victory: World War II and Victory: World War II – Second Edition with additional map options.

The collection includes maps numbered 1 through 18, covering a wide range of named settings and layouts. These include the French, English, German, and Greek maps, alongside desert, peninsula, ocean, steppe, alpine, forest, and blank map designs.

  • Maps 1–4: French, English, German, and Greek.
  • Maps 5–8: Canal, Desert, Peninsulas Mountains, and Peninsulas Islands.
  • Maps 9–12: Island, Land & Sea, Long Coast W-E, and Long Coast N-S.
  • Maps 13–16: Japan, Norwegian, Central Italy, and 4 Point Production City.
  • Maps 17–18: Blank Ocean and Blank Hex Map.

Originally, the extra maps were available through six mapsets, each containing a pair of maps not included in Victory: World War II, along with a blank mapset. The collection also identifies mapsets such as Desert, Peninsula, Ocean, Steppe, Alpine, Forest, and Blank.

With the release of Victory: World War II – Second Edition, maps not included in that base game became available together in the Victory Dirty Dozen 12 Map Bundle, covering maps 3–4 and 7–16. Individual high-resolution PDFs are also listed for the additional maps, including the blank designs.
