About this board game

Villainous Vikings (Second Edition) is a Viking exploration and conquest game for 3 to 5 players, with each game lasting about 60 minutes. Set against the approach of Ragnarök, it challenges rival Captains to earn the most Valhalla Points.

Throughout the game, players face constant Raid or Trade dilemmas. Choose whether to raid, trade, or battle other Captains as you pursue Odin’s favor and seek the highest seat in Asgard beside Odin.

Your decisions shape your standing among Odin the All-Father and the other Gods. Valhalla Points are gained through several paths:

• Raiding
• Trading
• Battling other Captains

When one player has been declared the victor of Ragnarök, everyone tallies their Valhalla Points. The player or players in the best standing are considered the greatest Vikings in history, earning the honor of having the finest seat in Valhalla for sharing tales of battle and drinking mead.

This 2014 Second Edition revises almost everything in the box for improved balance and clarity. The map, cards, rules, and counters have all been revised, giving Villainous Vikings a refreshed presentation while preserving its central struggle for glory.
