VIP RIP

About this board game

VIP RIP is a party game for 3–8 players that takes about 30 minutes, casting one player as Aurora the Gravedigger, a glamorous specialist who buries celebrities.

In each round, the gravedigger must use her imagination to connect three proverbs or popular sayings with three dead celebrities. The celebrities may be real people or fictional characters, while the sayings can be understood in either a literal or metaphorical way.

The other players must discover the links Aurora has created. Their challenge is to work out what each inscription means and decide how the sayings relate to the chosen celebrities. The result is a contest of interpretation, imagination, and unexpected associations.

Whether a proverb points directly to a celebrity or suggests a more figurative connection, every round invites the group to explore the gap between what is said and what is understood.
