About this board game

Volto is a two-player board game played in around five minutes, where two rival Venetian families compete to secure the next election of the Doge.

During Carnival, masks conceal everyone’s identity, giving each family the perfect opportunity to act against its rival. The contest unfolds in St. Mark’s Square, where the opposing contenders meet and the council’s vote hangs in the balance.

Each family secretly deploys its forces before the confrontation begins. Once the pieces are in position, the rival families fight for control of the situation and seek a decisive advantage over the opposing contender.

The goal is direct: get rid of the rival family’s contender and ensure that your representative prevails in the election. Every move contributes to the struggle for influence while the masked Carnival provides the setting for this dangerous political contest.
