About this board game
Wagram: The Peace of Vienna, 5-6 July 1809 is a two-player battle simulation, playable in approximately 90 minutes, covering the 5th and 6th of July 1809.
The game recreates the confrontation between the Hapsburg Empire under Archduke Charles and the French-Allied armies under Napoleon. It is one of four games included in the Napoleon At War QuadriGame, offering a focused treatment of this major Napoleonic engagement.
Wagram uses the Napoleon At Waterloo system, built around basic movement and combat rules. Units operate with hard zones of control, creating a clearly defined structure for movement across the battlefield and interaction between opposing forces.
Combat is resolved with a combat results table featuring a distinctive Equal Elimination rule. This special result can remove both sides simultaneously: on a die roll of 6, an attacking unit with a strength of 12 and a defending unit with a strength of 2 are both eliminated.
