Warhammer 40,000: First Strike is a two-player miniatures game for battles lasting around 120 minutes, released in 2017. Designed as an introduction to the Warhammer 40,000 hobby, it combines collecting, painting, and playing with detailed Citadel miniatures.

The box pits the heroic Ultramarines against the corrupted Death Guard. Its 15 easy-to-build, push-fit miniatures require no glue: three Primaris Intercessors and three Primaris Reivers face three Plague Marines and six Poxwalkers. The models come in blue and green plastic, with unit leaders and distinctive weapons represented among the forces.

First Strike is built to guide new players from their first setup to a complete game. A 24-page rulebook explains the core rules and game phases, while a 56-page guide covers the galaxy’s background, introduces the two featured factions and nine other armies, and provides painting guidance for the miniatures.
